With sadness, we share the passing of Rita Elaine McGuire (Truro, Nova Scotia). Rita passed away on June 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Dort and Alice Dort (Dort); and her siblings, Frederick Dort (Marion), Aubrey Dort (Myrtis), Wilbur Dort (Verna), Sylvia Jamieson, Hazel George (Wayne), Violet Bardall (George), Minnie Pellerine (Luke) and Ruby Luddington (Avard).
She is survived by: her husband Gary; her daughter Kristal Levernois (Robert "Bob"); her granddaughter Amanda Julien (Stephen); her great grandchild Jada Julien; her stepchildren, Teresa McGuire (Sandy), April Pelton (Mark) and Corry McGuire (Debbie); her stepgranddaughters, Rebecca, Amy and Michelle; her sister Mabel Bond; and her brother-in-law Sylvester Jamieson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
