He was predeceased by: his parents, Munro Slack and Laura Slack (Matthews); his wife Helen Slack (Creelman); his children, Eric Slack and Heather Slack; and his great grandchild Norah.
He is survived by: his son Stanley Slack (Rosalie) of Lantz; his grandson Mark Slack (Susanne Priest); his great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Lucas and Hanwell; his granddaughter Sonya Aikens (Rob); and his great grandchild Addison.
