He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Carter and Bessie Carter (Tucker); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Taylor (Bob), Keith McNutt and Ralph Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle (McNutt); his children, Philip Carter, Cindy Graham (Mike) and Middle Stewiacke; his grandson Jeremy Graham (Hannah); his children, Kelsey Elliott (Benjamin), Wallace and Emily Graham; his great grandchildren, Eleanor Graham and Coleman Graham; his sisters, Jean Hamilton, Irene Dunphy (Pat) and Marie Bowers (Neal); and his brother-in-law Donnie McNutt (Hope). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
