She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ryan and Constance Ryan (MacDonald); her former husband Lloyd G. Fraser; and her cousin Karleen Carrigan (David). She is survived by: her husband Howard; her son Karl Taylor (Peggy Dewar); her granddaughters, Lauralee Dooley (Nathan), Caoimhelee, Deaglan, Fianna and Keela Dooley; her stepgranddaughter Amy Cameron (Steve); her cousin Rhonda Hamilton (Robert); her niece Michelle; Briac and Grayson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Donations in memory of Vona may be made to Harmony Ridge Cemetery, McCulloch United Church or 4-H Nova Scotia.
