He was predeceased by: his parents, George Burley and Theresa Burley (Smith); and his grandson George. He is survived by: his wife June (Hancock); his sons, Tim Burley (Karla Greek) and Kevin Burley (Laura); his stepson John Hancock (Kathleen Best); his grandchildren, Cooper, Jocelyn, Brooklyn, Tristan and Joseph; and his siblings, Gary Burley (Barb) and Marilyn Gold (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Truro Cemetery (125 Robie St, Truro, NS B2N1K8).
