He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel and Marjorie Selway of Axminster; his wife Christine (Horswill); and his siblings, Peter and Winnie Childs.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Leisa Burton; his children, Angela Hunt (Rob), England, Julie Selway (Jian Xiong) and Tony Selway (Tracy); his partner's children, Mark Mitchell (Julie), Meg Burton (Matt), Josh Burton (Cassie) and Justin Burton (Kelly); and his siblings, Ann "Myrt" (Peter Sutton), Henry Selway (Deanne) and Michael Selway (Hazel). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
