He was predeceased by : his parents, Laurie Burris and Jeannie Burris (McBean); his daughter-in-law Colleen Burris; his brother-in-law Allison McIver; and his parents-in-law, Howard and Jean Wadden.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Burris; his children, Lindsay Wallace (Andrew) and Laurie Burris; his grandchildren, Hayley, Liam, Aubrey and Adley; and his sisters, Sheena McIver and Moira Cherrett (Jerry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Wish Foundation or IWK Foundation.
