He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Munroe and Erma Rector (Brown); and his stepgrandson Kaden Horton. He is survived by: his children, Lindsay Addison (Bill Dargavel), Roberta Read (John Horton) and Derek Munroe (Jillian); and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Munroe (Renee) and Grace Bresson (Dan). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
