He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Carpenter and Frances Carpenter (Bonang). He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Cheryl and Derek (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Sarah and Josiah; and his siblings, Bruce (Donna), Shirley (Wayne) and Jean (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Stewiacke Valley Baptist Church (1476 Otterbrook Rd, Upper Stewiacke, NS B0N1C0).
