Jean Bond Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2025, at the age of 80, Jean Bond of Upper Nine Mile River, Nova Scotia, born in Upper Kennetcook, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertrand "Bertie" Lantz and Mary Robina "Beanie" Lantz (Burton); her husband Donald; and her sisters, Annie Weatherhead, Norma Marshall and Phyllis Publicover.
She is survived by: her children, Krista Kempster and Gregory (Amy); her grandchildren, Jacob, Jaime of Ottawa, ON and Violet; her stepgrandchildren, Lindsay and Faith; and her siblings, Brenda White (Harley) and Bill Lantz (Anne) of Ottawa, ON. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ettinger Funeral Home Chapel (2812 NS-2, Shubenacadie, NS B0N2H0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ettinger Funeral Home (2812 NS-2, Shubenacadie, NS B0N2H0).
Donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Upper Rawdon Cemetery or your local food bank.
