It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bertha Elizabeth Hankey (Wallace, Nova Scotia), born in Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 5, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Shunamon and Frances Shunamon (Grove); her husband Douglas Arthur Hankey, Sr.; her daughter-in-law Debbie Hankey; and her siblings, Johnny, Clyde, Clarence, Allie, Edith and Violet.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas "Doug" Hankey (Trina), Bass River, Darryn Hankey, Karen, Lower Sackville, Janet, Ottawa, Debbie and Lisa; her grandchildren, Austin (Maddy), Shantel (Matt) and Amanda; and her niece Rhonda Pike (Glen). She is also survived by many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
