He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Gerroir and Mary Agnes Gerroir (Forgeron); his sister Dora; and his siblings-in-law, Lorraine, Mathilda and Yves Tessier.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Gloria (Landry); his children, Nigel of Truro, Jacqueline (Brian Hoffert) of West Arichat and Laura Martin (Terry) of Saskatoon; his grandchildren, Nicholaus, Dominique, Alexandra, Makayla, Makaila (Minnie), Tatyanna, Bryson, Nicole and Cameron; his siblings, Herman, Violet, Anna and Milton; and his brother-in-law Alan Magnusson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to the Isle Madame Food Bank.
