She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Alfred and Viola Evangeline Garron (O'Connell); her son James McDormand (Crystal); her husband Charles McDormand (Charlie Boy); and her siblings, Alfred Garron, George Garron, Maureen Swift, Iris Rogers and Beth Welch.
She is survived by: her children, Richard McDormand (Marilyn) and Betty Anne O'Connell (Charles); her grandchildren, Jantina (Terry), Erik (Alison), Natashia, Ian (Kelly), Sean (Laura), Ryan and Maria; and her brother Eldridge Garron.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Church of Christ (93 2 St, Westport, NS B0V1H0).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Church of Christ or Sail2 (Save an Island Lighthouse).
