With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Gilbert MacKay of Westville, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett MacKay and Annie May MacKay (Hattie); his wife Beatrice (Fitt); and his siblings-in-law, Jean Melanson, Bill Allen, Sonny Fitt, Ken Melanson and Lowell Spencer.
He is survived by: his children, Everett, Shelley, Kevin (Chrissy) and Glen (Dawn); his grandchildren, Stephen (Kelly), Stacey (Stephen), James, Erika, Tamara, Colby (Kristen), Carson, Jessie and Lacey; his great grandchildren, Luke, Georgia, Maya, Madison, Maddox, Sawyer, Lucas and Myles; his sisters-in-law, Hilda Allen and Betty Fitt; and his cousin June Gaston. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Donations in Dad's memory may be made to St. Paul United Church, Westville or a charity of one's choice.
