He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Brenton Hughes and Gertrude Foote; his wife Violet Ethel Hughes (Salter); his son Brian Hughes (Heather); his grandchildren, John Graham and Bryanna (Shayne); his sister Edith (Andre Marchand); his stepchildren, Lorne Joudrey (Denise) and Helen Fraser (Glenn); his sisters-in-law, Dorothy MacKay and Doreen Foote; his son Brent Hughes; his siblings, Ethel (Aubrey Dee), Rita Hughes, Betty Marshall, Grace Hatfield, Roy, George Hughes and Jimmy Foote; and his stepdaughter Marlayne MacDonald (Colin Cook). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
