With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Alexander Munsie of Westville, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Munsie and Mary Munsie. He is survived by: his wife Betty Munsie (Maloney) of Westville; his sons, Gary Munsie (Bernadette), Jack Munsie (Michelle), Stephen Munsie (Sylvie Germain) and Charles Munsie; his siblings, Teresa MacKay (Westville), Ellen Westbury (Hamilton Ont) and John Munsie (Truro); and his grandchildren, Noah Munsie of Georgia, USA, Rebecca Munsie of Virginia, USA, Natasha and Melissa Munsieand Sarah Munsie.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Melvin's memory to the Palliative Care Unit at Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow, or to the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) in Pictou County, both of whom provided compassionate care in his final days.
