He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gaudet and Lottie Gaudet (Gaudet); his common-law partner Dorothy Doucette; his siblings, Ulysse, Hector, Wilfred, Nelson, Luc, Arthur, Emilie, Corinne, Anita, Doris, Juliette and Rita; and his stepson Paul Doucette.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Catherine Doucette Bourgeois (New Hampshire) and Kim Doucette of Ohio, NS.; his stepgranddaughters, Amanda Moreau of Kentucky and Ashley Bourgeois of New Hampshire; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Keeley, Brayden, Brooklyn and Memphis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Louis lived his final days with Dementia, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia or charity of your choice.
