It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brent Matheson Austen of Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 14, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his father Fred Austen; his grandson Noah MacEachern; his siblings, Donald and Juanita "Nita" Matthews; his siblings-in-law, Earl Matthews, Darryl, Robert MacPhail, Anne Chandler and Neilena Smith; his aunts, Laura Cairns and Isabel MacFarlane; and his uncle Manton Austen.
He is survived by : his grandchildren, Sean, Savanna, Cael and Neil; his nephew Fred Matthews (Carmen DeGruchy); his niece Holly Matthews; his great-niece Tracy Davison (Nick); his siblings-in-law, Marion Campbell (Bobby), Elizabeth MacPhail, Raymond Chandler and David Smith; his nieces and nephews, Wayne Chandler, Jamie Smith, Matthew, Bradley, Michael, Brent, Patty MacDonnell and Carol Smith; his caregivers, Lisa and Zelda; and also, Breagh and Isobel. He is also survived by several great-grand nephews, a great-grand niece and many special cousins.
