He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Meisner and Marguerite Meisner; and his brothers, Eric, Leander, Merrill, Max and Randall.
He is survived by: his siblings, Douglas, Muriel and Shirley; his wife Mildred; his children, Donna Reiter (Robert), Tony (Darlene) and Wayne (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Rodney, Denise, Randy, Sam, Keelan, William, Oslo and Alden.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Rex's memory can be made to the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore or the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke foundation.
