She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Norwood and Gwendolyn "Gwen" Norwood (Mills); and her siblings, Billy and Susan. She is survived by: her husband Garnet; her sons, Richard (Jennifer) and Allen; her grandchildren, Becka and Warren; her sisters, Brenda (Alan), Judy (Paul) and Kathie; and her brothers-in-law, Roy, Perry (Lynn) and Mark (Tefferina). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0).

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Barbara's memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society, a cause close to her heart, 5826 South St., Halifax, NS B3H 1S6.
