He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Whynot and Meda Whynot (Tipert); his brother Malcolm; and his sister-in-law Annette Tipert. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Best; his children, Darren (Lezlie) of New Germany and Stephanie Lockhart (Anthony) of Falmouth; his stepson Ken Maltby of Atwood, Ontario; his grandsons, Noah and Nigel Fraser; his stepgrandchildren, Ella-Jane, Luke, Taze Lockhart and Grumpie; his stepsister Colleen; and his brother-in-law Wendall Brown of Greenfield.
