Ida Louise Upshaw Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Skinner and Bessie Skinner (Reid); her sisters, Geneva Reddick and Elsie Skinner; her son-in-law Gilbert Simmonds (Gary); her parents-in-law, Mabel Upshaw and Chester Upshaw; her siblings-in-law, Margaret Karamitsos, Rita Skinner (Clarke) and Irvin Upshaw; and her stepparents, James and Bessie Clyke.

She is survived by: her husband Deacon Raymond; her children, Deanna, Rayvonne (Steven), Danielle (King), Raymond Jr. and Thane (Tammy); her grandchildren, LaToya, Nigel, Whitney, Steven, Kevin, Justice, Dakota, Aaliyah, Dalvin, Ty, Kayden, Nathanial, Kyan, Lynken and Lily; her brother Charles Skinner of Montreal; and her close friend Linda Gray.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Windsor Plains United Baptist Church (4841 Nova Scotia Trunk 1, Newport Station, NS B0N2T0).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ida's memory may be made to Windsor Plains United Baptist Church.
