He was predeceased by : his parents, Ellen Wright (Currie) and William Wright; and his siblings, Bill Wright, George Wright and June Beith (Fred).

He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth (Liz Billard); his daughters, Heather Wright (Jon Lowthers) and Meagan Shaw (Tyler); his granddaughters, Rebecca and Abbygail Shaw; his sisters, Pat Briel and Ellen Levo; and his brother-in-law James Billard (Florence).
