She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Gallant and Hallie Gallant (Wiles); her husband Frederick Akin; her son Thomas B. Akin; and her siblings, Marjorie Corkum, Estella Veinnotte and Richard "Paul" Gallant.
She is survived by : her daughters, Sharon McMullen (David) of Fredericton, NB, Barbara Redden (Richard), Windsor Gibson and Jeanne Gibson (Brian); her siblings, Gloria Zinck (Owen) and Leonard Gallant (Reiko); and her sister-in-law Trish Gallant. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Donations in Mom's memory may be made to the VON, Hants Community Hospital Auxiliary, 89 Payzant Drive, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or to a charity of one's choice.
