She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Barkhouse and Hazel Barkhouse (Munro); her husband Carl; her daughter Judy Newcomb; and her son-in-law Brian Cochrane.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Cochrane (Mark Forsythe) of Wolfville and Greg of Falmouth; her grandchildren, O. J. Smith (Candy) and Trenton Fraser Ripley (Cassy) of Falmouth; her siblings, Ethel Wilcox, Verna Smith, Dorothy Rafuse, Trudy Haines and Ted Barkhouse; her son-in-law Bob Newcomb; and her special fur-grandbabies, Harley, Willie and Kitty Missy.
