He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Skinner and Ethel Skinner (Peters); his siblings, Grace, Ronald, Gordon, Keitha and Carmen; and his pet Molly.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ripley Skinner; his children, Shawn (Amanda), Jennifer (Doug Lightfoot), New Minas, Dylan-James and Robert Ripley-Skinner; his grandchildren, Rebecca-Lynn, Grace, Cohen Skinner, Eden and Charlotte Herridge; his great grandchild Gideon Herridge; and his siblings, Sharon, Jimmy and Karen of Ontario. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
