He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dawson Durling and Mabel Ena Durling (Baker); his daughter Patricia Rollins (Russell); his children-in-law, Kenneth Vaughan and Heidi Durling; and his siblings, Eric Durling, Robert Durling (Joan) and Marjorie Frank (Ralph).

He is survived by: his wife Rev. Barbara Durling (Fadden); his children, Lynda Vaughan of Dartmouth, Michael Durling (Mary) of Cambridge, Wade Durling (Carol) of Niagara, Nick Durling of East Stewiacke, Debbie Rigillo (Rick) of Toronto, ON, Mark Durling of Empress, AB, Wendy Chambers (Doug) of Bedford and Maria Durling (Coleen) of Charlottetown, PE; his brother Gary Durling (Elva) of Cambridge; his sister-in-law Betty Durling (Windemere); and his grandchildren, Natasha (Roland), Heidi (Dirk), Michael (Jodi), Alicia (Richard), Jennifer, Matthew, Joshua, Brandon, Dustin (Victoria), Meredith (Jonnie), Nigel, Sophia (Monty) and Cassandra (Justin). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and many extended family.
