John Visco wrote a sympathy message

“Met Al Whittle in 1967 when he worked for the Saga dining hall as a customer receptionist. Over my following ten years on visiting the dining operations , Al was always there and after hours tending to his magnificent theatre (if not biking). He was a valued person by the the students that he met regularly at meal times, his employer (the resident food service management) and I'm sure by the patrons of his World Class theatre. In short "a gentleman and a gentle man." God Bless.”
