He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Atwell and Sadie Atwell (Schofield); his son Vincent Atwell; and his sisters, Violet Schofield, Nettie Harris (Atwell) and Elma Huntley (Atwell).
He is survived by: his brother David Atwell of Toronto; his children, Paul Atwell (Kelly) of Wolfville, Lana Atwell of Ontario and Owen Atwell of Wolfville; his grandchildren, Maddison Olson (Joshua) of Alberta, Ashtin Atwell (Jeremy) of Sheffield Mills, Kate Dodge (Stan) of Wolfville and Tyson McMahon; and his great grandchildren, Briar Olson, Jayson Atwell-Guptill, Zacheriah Atwell, Brison Dunbar and Becca Dodge.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gaspereau Community Centre (2806 Greenfield Rd, Wolfville, NS B4P2R1).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
