It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Lillian Lake (Wolfville, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 30, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parent Percy H. Atwell; her husband Harold; her son Carver; her siblings, Jackie Clifford, Judi Atwell Munro and Wayne Nowlin; her daughter-in-law Eileen Lake; and her stepparents, Morley Nowlin and Mildred Atwell (Jackson).

She is survived by : her parent Hilda Nowlin (Jordan); her daughters, Sharon Lake (Richard Knott), Black River, Paula Watson (Michael) of Western Shore and Julie Hawkesworth (Glenn) of Black River; and her sisters, Helen Levy of Black River, Connie Hudson of Timberlea, Dianne Allen of Las Vegas, Joan Nowlin of Wolfville and Marilyn MacKenzie of Halifax. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory may be made to the Black River Community Club or a charity of choice.
