He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Israel James and Ada Mary Hynes (Rose); his wife Dorothy Hynes (Chandler); his children, Jane and Michael (Paige); his daughter-in-law Janet; his granddaughters, Margot, Karen, Jennifer and Robyn; his sister Ada Valentine; his sister-in-law Catherine Hynes; his son Haldane "Hal"; and his siblings, Louisa and Gordon.

Donations may be made to the Atlantic branch of the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
