She was predeceased by : her parent Marshall Nickerson; her husband Fred MacGillivray; her daughter Beverley McClement-Gray; and her siblings, Randall, Mervin, Sable, Donald, George, Margaret and Evernell.

She is survived by : her parent Mae Nickerson (Cunningham); her son Clifford McClement Halifax (Rica); her brothers, Melvin, Stewart and Conrad; her grandchildren, Tara, Erica, Erin, Alexa, Torin and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Cale, Jaxon, Ewan, Lucas, Sullivan and Ava; and her brother-in-law John MacGillivray (Judy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society of Nova Scotia.
