He was predeceased by : his parents, John "Burton" Fitzgerald and Anne "Ida" Fitzgerald (Doucette); his siblings, Donna and Glen; and his grandparents, Simon, Gladys Doucette (Clairmont), Ralph and Cedulie Fitzgerald (Harris).

He is survived by : his close friend Louise Hatfield; his brother Daryl (Karen); his nephew Adam; his daughter Chrystal; and his grandchildren, Shayleigh, Kairi, Cayson and Cambree.
