He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ora Bertram Bonnar and Eleanor Bonnar (Landers); his wife Veralyn Bonnar (Rogers); his children, Mitchell Bonnar (Lynda) and Bernadette Ryan (Dennis); his grandchildren, Holly Dempsey (Ralph), Carlynn Bonnar and Barrett Bonnar; his great grandchildren, Landon and Liam Bonnar; his former wife Carol Harpell Bonnar (Carlyn); and also, Christopher Colwell and Linda MacFarlane.
