She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Newell and Seretha Newell; her husband Avery Nickerson; her daughter Marsha Nickerson; and her siblings, Cedric Newell, Athalia Jordon and Vera Newell.
She is survived by: her son Maynard Nickerson (Cheryl); her son-in-law Larry Nickerson; her grandchildren, David Chetwynd (Michelle) and Melissa Atkinson (Ricky); and her great grandchildren, Damien, Morgan, Emily and Jessica. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
Memorial donations may be made to the Newellton United Baptist Church or any charity of choice.
