She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Fevens and Mildred Fevens (Ball); her father-in-law Robert E. Gates; and her sister-in-law Debbie Gates (Joudrey). She is survived by: her husband Robert Gates; her children, Shelly Lyons (Shane) of Oxford, N. S, Colin Gates (Louanne) and Lower Saulnierville; her siblings, Wayne Fevens (Debbie), Nancy Fitzgerald (Warren), Dale Fevens (Stephanie) and Blockhouse; her grandchildren, Wyatt and Julia Gates; and her mother-in-law Mary Gates.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Wycliffe Bible Translators, or World Vision.
