With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Grace Louise Smith (Yarmouth, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 16, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Grace leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gallagher and Gussie Gallagher (Purdy); and her husband Donald Smith. She is also survived by 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Evangel Assembly (1 Myrtle St, Yarmouth, NS B5A4K9). She volunteered at the Yarmouth Hospital for 19 years prior to Covid.
Memorial donations may be made to Yarmouth Hospital (Palliative Care) or to the Chebogue Cemetery.
