James Alfred Harris Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate James Alfred Harris in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, whose life came to an end on November 26, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Harris and Hilda Harris (Doucette); his wife Mildred (Smith); his son Aaron; his granddaughter Shannon; his son-in-law Jim Prescott; and his siblings, Joseph Lester and Loretta.

He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Hatfield (Jim), Janie Harding (Ken), Wendy Trefry, Noella Goodwin, Rachel Prescott (Steven Jeffery) and Stephanie Moody (Jimmy); his daughter-in-law Doreen Hebb (Gerry); his sister Bernice Smith (Don); his sister-in-law Blanche Davis-DesChamp; and his close friend Yvonne Saulnier. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; a large extended family.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Huskilson's Funeral Chapel (29 Albert St, Yarmouth, NS B5A3N1). A prayer was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Huskilson's Funeral Home (29 Albert St, Yarmouth, NS B5A 3N1).
