It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Marshal McRae of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, born in Huxley, Alberta, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Stewart McRae and Gertrude Sarah Marshall; his former wife Margaret Nickerson; his wife Catherine Moores Hamm; his brothers, Earl (Brandon) and George; his daughter Marsha Fitt (Jim); and his grandson Chris Amon.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Amon (Frank) and James (Debby); his stepchildren, Nancy Hamm Knox (Dale), Pat Morehouse (Leon) and John Hamm; and his grandchildren, Paul, Michelle, Shannon, Michael, Jennah and Philip. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
