He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Gavel and Annie Gavel (Jeffery); his wife Linda; and his siblings, Mary and Larry.
He is survived by: his sons, Adam Gavel (Daisy) of Lower Sackville, NS, Bernard Gavel (Nancy) of Wedgeport, NS and Paul Gavel of Yarmouth, NS.; his granddaughter Heather Deveau (Nick) of Yarmouth, NS; his brother Donnie Gavel of Pleasant Lake, NS; and his caregiver Rose Stuart. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
