He was predeceased by: his parents, John Higby (Clark) and Mildred Higby (Syvertsen); his sister Vera Sollows; and his daughter Ann. He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Higby; his nephews, John, David and Stephen Sollows; and his niece Celia Sollows (Shelley MacEwen).

Donations in Jack's memory can be made to the Villa St Joseph du Lac Foundation or the Regional Emergency Measures Organization (REMO) Yarmouth.
