He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia McGirr; his parents, James McGirr and Myrtle McGirr; and his siblings, Marjorie and Donald.

He is survived by: his pets, Buster and Prince. He is also survived by his 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Taras' House.
