He was predeceased by: his father Percy Thurber; his wife Gloria Edith (Dickie); and his siblings, Raymond, Earl, Clifton, Carson, Pearle, Edna, Gertrude, Louise and Vesta.
He is survived by: his sister Beulah; his children, Judy (Don) and Gary (Lynne); his granddaughters, Beth (Ryan), Katie, Lynsay (Mark) and Jillian (Shayne); and his great grandchildren, Adelaide and Lucas.
During his lifetime, Lou made donations to Acadia University, the Lions Foundation and the VON. In expression of sympathy, donations in Lou's memory may be made to these organizations.
