She was predeceased by : her father Elmer; her husband Joseph Brittain; her brother John; her half-brothers, David Pinkney and Arthur Pinkney; her sisters, Alma Trask and June Ryerson; and her half-sister Sally Kempton.

She is survived by : her daughter Ellen Titus (Gary); and her half-brother Phillip Pinkney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
