She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter S. Thomas and D. Mae Thomas Outhouse (Perry); her sisters, Marilyn Frost and Audrey Thomas; and her daughter Janice.

She is survived by: her children, John Penney (Yvette) of Sydney, NS and Sharon LeBlanc (Dwayne); her grandchildren, Corry Clements (Carole Harrison), Christopher Clements (Liz Moses), Chrystal Penney (Scott MacAdam), Jeremy Penney, Luc LeBlanc (Abby d'Entremont) and Marc LeBlanc; her great grandchildren, Courtney Clements, Caleb Clements, Olivea Clements, Maya MacAdam and Emilia MacAdam; and her close friend Sally Malone.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Yarmouth North Baptist Church (8 Elm St, Yarmouth, NS B5A2P7).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Yarmouth North Baptist Church or to the Port Maitland/Beaver River Cemetery.

As a youngster I spent many summers in Port Maitland and my cousins Olive Rose., Marilyn and Audrey always took an interest in making sure I had a good time whether it be going to the Port Maitland beach, Lake George swimming, fishing off the wharf or out on the Lucy Mae boat. I have many fond memories of Olive Rose and those summer visits- she was a wonderful person. John Lowman”
