He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Bie" Leo Muise and Lenore E. Deveau; his brother Ronald Leo Muise (Carolyn); and his nephew Scott McIvor. He is survived by: his sisters, Betty McIvor (Don), Joyce Doucette and Dorothy Hatfield (Ernest).

Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Paraplegic Association, the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation or to the VON.
