Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Rita Ann Durkee (Yarmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 88, on September 19, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brush and Louise Brush (LeBlanc); her husband William Durkee; and her sister Jean Robichaud. She is survived by: her children, Barry of Yarmouth, Brian (Bonnie) of Hubbard's Point and Sharon Corporon (Bernard) of Yarmouth; and her grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Rylan and Hannah.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sweeny's Funeral Home (567 Main St, Yarmouth, NS B5A1J6). A prayer was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Ambrose Co-Cathedral (65 Green St, Yarmouth, NS B5A1Z6).
