He was predeceased by: his wife Jean (Wheelhouse); his brother Bryce Clayton; his parents, Ardis Cook and Chester A. Clayton; and his adoptive father Earle D. Ferguson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Ferguson of Enfield and Susan Williams (Stephen) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Sarah (Cameron) and Ellen; and his great grandchild Sonny.
