She was predeceased by: her son Ian (Karla). She is survived by: her husband Alan Vaughan; her daughter Helen Vaughan Barrieau (Adrien); her grandchildren, Quinn, Olivier, Maya and Claire; and her sisters, Sharon (Jim) and Nancy (Elwin).

Betty was a dedicated supporter of the Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation. The family encourages donations to the foundation in memory of Betty. Donations can be made below.
