Lance was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. The proud father of Kaitlyn 20 and Tanner 18 and the husband of Kari for 27 years he was a family man who loved his family deeply. Born and raised in Yellowknife he was a role model to many and was a leader in his role as Gas Inspector with the Department of Infrastructure and kept Yellowknifer's safe through his work in inspections.

Lance's work sent out the following message below;Lance joined the Department of Infrastructure in October 2019 as part of the Inspection Services for Compliance and Licensing. He was hired as a Gas/Boiler Inspector, bringing with him a wealth of experience as a gas fitter from the private sector. Lance quickly embraced his role, committing to continuous professional development. His hard work and dedication led to him achieving his National Board Certification for Boiler/Pressure Vessel Inspections in the summer of 2024, an outstanding accomplishment.

Lance was well-respected and valued by both his colleagues and contractors. His professionalism, expertise, and integrity were evident in everything he did. Lance also proudly represented the Northwest Territories at national gas meetings and was an active participant in the Canadian Gas Association (CGA). He was in the process of preparing to take on the role of Chief Gas Inspector, a testament to his dedication and leadership within the field.

Though Lance was a quiet individual, his words always carried weight, and his commitment to his work was unwavering. He leaves behind a legacy of excellence and a memory that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of working with him.

Lance was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed time in the bush hunting, fishing, boating, and skidooing with his family.
